Infinos Gaiden will have players blasting enemy ships, but do so using a pair of moveable satellites that float near their ship, using these mechanical friends to keep them safe from gunfire while adding to their own firepower.
Infinos Gaiden is touted as a “90’s arcade style side scrolling shooter”, one where players will shoot their way through seven stages of enemy fighters and hails of bullets. Players can pick up several weapon types as they fly through the various colorful areas, but they’ll also be equipping a pair of satellite weapons. giving them even more shots they can spray out onto the screen.
Positioning satellites will go a long ways in keeping the player’s ship in the air. The satellites appear to be able to block some enemy fire, so moving them to either side of the player’s ship can block shots coming in those directions. Should players move the satellites to the front, though, they can increase the density of firepower in that direction, carving through enemies while leaving an opening in their own defenses. It will be up to the player to balance these, knowing when to play safe and when to go for raw power.
Infinos Gaiden is available now on Steam.
