Super Smash Bros Ultimate anniversary SSBU anniversary

Second Super Smash Bros Ultimate Anniversary Celebrated With Spirit Board Event

The Super Smash Bros Ultimate anniversary is upon us. The game will turn two on December 7, 2020. To honor the occasion, Nintendo announced there will be a Spirit Board event starting on December 4, 2020. While there won’t be any new Spirits added, people will get more rewards than usual. In another effort to make things easier for folks returning on the anniversary to fill out a collection, the Rematch item, which will make a Spirit you lost to reappear on the board, will be available.

Normally, you earn some experience points, Spirit Points, and ideally a Spirit after a Spirit Board battle. During the second Super Smash Bros Ultimate anniversary event, you’ll get three times as much as you normally would.

We don’t know if there will any special occasion event to celebrate the actual second anniversary. However, this Spirit Board event will end on December 7, 2020. The last new character to join the fight was Minecraft’s Steve back in October 2020. Bomberman and Travis Touchdown Mii Fighter costumes appeared at the same time. As far as other news goes, we know the Banjo & Kazooie, Byleth, and Terry Bogard amiibo will launch in 2021.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available for the Nintendo Switch. The SSBU second anniversary Spirit Board event will run December 4-7, 2020.
