Square Enix started sharing trailers of the cast of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined in Japan, and the first three videos focus on how the hero, Kiefer, and Maribel all look in the remake. The three are the initial trio in the game who start the adventure and begin restoring the islands and continents surrounding Estard on their journey.
First, here’s the video highlighting the hero of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined. It starts by showing him running around his hometown of Fishbel, before then highlighting his attacks in battle alongside Kiefer, Maribel, and Ruff.
The Kiefer trailer for Dragon Quest VII Reimagined begins with him and the hero running off after talking to his father, the king. We then see him acting as captain of the boat as he sets off with Maribel and the hero. Like the previous trailer, it closes with an in-battle segment.
The Maribel video follows a similar pattern. We first see her character model, then some scenes of her talking with the hero and Kiefer. It closes out with her using magic to attack enemies.
The Dragon Quest VII Reimagined remake will come to the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on February 5, 2026. A manga adaptation inspired by this installment called Dragon Quest Eden will also appear in Japan next year.
