F.O.E. short for Formido Oppugnatura Exsequens or "Field On Enemy" in Japan are dangerous monsters in the Etrain Odyssey series. These beasts are more powerful than the usual creatures and they chase you. F.O.E.s appeared as glowing orbs in the Nintendo DS games.
Etrian Odyssey IV uses monster models instead. Players will see F.O.E.s run after then (but freeze in place until you take a step) and living in labyrinths. The F.O.E. on the right, for example, is in the middle of a meal.
Etrain Odyssey IV is slated for release on July 5.
