In addition, Sunrise announced that GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- will be the first ever Gundam movie to be available via IMAX. Prior movies in the metaseries—including the 2024 entry Gundam SEED Freedom—had not used the larger screen platform. It is yet to be known whether the upcoming prequel Gundam SEED Freedom Zero will also support IMAX or not.

The full key visual poster for Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- is available via the tweet from the new anime show’s official Japanese X account:

Sunrise has also published a new trailer for Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-. However, it mostly contained the exact same scenes from the initial reveal in early December 2024. The only new reveal in this trailer is the MoviTicke Card featuring a monochromatic image of the titular mobile suit GQuuuuuuX, which is immediately available for purchase in Japan at 1,500 yen (~$9.75).

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- will launch in theaters across Japan on January 17, 2025. Sunrise will afterward air the main show on Japanese television channels and global streaming platforms.
