In the Sonic the Hedgehog film, people are introduced to a rather young version of the hedgehog. But while we saw both the old and new designs for the standard Sonic ahead of the movie’s launch, we never saw what his baby version looked like. Well, the digital version of the film offers a peek, and now Paramount has released a clip showing the original baby Sonic movie prototype.
Keep in mind that this baby Sonic movie deleted scene does contain some spoilers. While it was scrapped and its events didn’t make it to the full release, it does show a character who wasn’t revealed ahead of the film’s launch. Also, because of this being a prototype, the quality of the character model for Sonic varies greatly throughout the over one minute clip. The version of the character that appears in the second half of the segment is the more finalized version and resembles the original Sonic movie design.
The baby Sonic movie debut was first revealed back in December 2019. As such, only the final design for the character appeared in the film and in the Sonic Forces mobile game.
The digital version of the Sonic movie will launch early on March 31, 2020. Physical copies of it will end up launching on May 19, 2020.
