Sega announced it is working on three new plush mascots of the major Inuyasha characters Kagome Higurashi, Inuyasha, and Sesshomaru. All three will launch on September 18, 2026 in Japan. They’ll be available as prizes in arcades. It’s unknown if we’ll see them eventually show up sometime after worldwide, though Sega does often sell these sorts of items in its Amazon storefront.
All three of the Inuyasha plush mascots are about four inches tall (10cm). There’s no attempt to preserve actual accuracy when it comes to characters’ heights. Each one is in their default costume for the series, which means Kagome is in her school uniform. All of them involve a chibi approach to their designs They don’t have any keychains attached, so they’re intended to be decorative and not necessarily used as a plush pendant.
It is quite possible we could start seeing a lot more Inuyasha merchandise and events announced soon. This is due to the manga coming up on its 30th anniversary. The Rumiko Takahashi series started back in November 1996. An anime adaptation followed in October 2000. Since then, we’ve also seen a sequel series called Yashahime that followed the adventures of Sesshomaru’s twin daughters Towa and Setsuna and Kagome and Inuyasha’s daughter Moroha.
The Inuyasha mascot plush of Kagome, Inuyasha, and Sesshomaru will launch in Japan on September 18, 2026. The manga is handled by Viz Media outside Japan. The anime is streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
