Sega Really <3’s Aliens

This article is over 15 years old and may contain outdated information

We haven’t seen much progress on Aliens: Colonial Marines, but that’s not going to stop Sega from announcing another game based on the Alien franchise. Also up on deck now and the first game to launch a trio of Sega published Alien games is Alien vs. Predator due in 2010. Rebellion, the UK developer that made the recent Alien vs. Predator game for PSP is taking care of the newly announced title. The other Aliens game Sega is working on is an RPG.

With three Aliens games currently in development Sega is investing heavily on in Aliens. Unlike Sega’s Iron Man and Incredible Hulk games Aliens doesn’t have a movie tie-in slated for 2010. Sounds like a risky proposition to me.

What do you think? Is Sega making a good bet? Does Aliens still have a big enough fanbase ready to snap up three different Aliens games?
