Unlike FromSoftware’s other recent games Dark Souls and Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will not have stats, classes, character creation option, or even any equivalent of souls or blood to collect. [Thanks, PCGamesN!]
The game is apparently more of “an action adventure game”, as described by FromSoftware’s Yasuhiro Kitao. There is no multiplayer, armor or weapons to forge or collect either.
Instead, Sekiro is more focused on just the combat, including by giving players a variety to ways to utilize the tricks that are included in the player character’s prosthetic arm, including a grappling hook, an axe, a shield, a torch, and more.
Previously, we reported on the reveal trailer for the game, which you can find here. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice comes out for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2019.
