Sengoku Basara’s High School Setting Spinoff Gakuen Basara Is Getting An Anime

Recommended Videos

Capcom announced that the Sengoku Basara series is getting an anime spinoff called Gakuen Basara, a “what if” parody that has some of your favorite Busho in a high school setting.

In Gakuen Basara we’ll meet alternate setting versions of Date Masamune (CV: Kazuya Nakai) who is a first-year ace of the school’s baseball club. Also featured in the first key visual is Sanada Yukimura (CV: Soichiro Hoshi), the first-year ace of the school’s soccer team.

The anime will tell a chaotic school story that takes place when former student council president Toyotomi Hideyoshi gets suspended from school so Date Masamune and Sanada Yukimura find themselves fighting over the position.

Gakuen Basara’s air date has yet to be announced, but it will be on TBS. The spinoff has previously been published as a manga.
