A lost Shantae game is getting released. WayForward announced at the Limited Run Games 2023 showcase that Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution will head to the GBA. The developer is going to finish the in-progress title, which was canceled, and Limited Run Games will handle a physical release for cartridges. It will launch in early 2024. Here’s the trailer announcing Shantae: Risky Revolution and discussing how Limited Run Games ended up working with WayForward to make the release happen. It is notable for offering support for up to four players. It will take work from the GBA demo and complete it.
There’s no word yet about whether we’ll see it digitally on consoles and PCs as well. The last release in the series brought the GBC game to modern platforms. Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution will come to the GBA in Early 2024.
