The news came from Wayforward on Twitter earlier today, where they confirmed that development was going smoothly, but that they needed a bit more time, assuring that the wait would be worth it.

Shantae and the Seven Sirens takes place away from Scuttle Town, where Shantae gets to meet other half-genies just like her. It uses the same graphical style in-game as Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, but has a different artwork style.

Shantae and the Seven Sirens releases in Spring 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Part 1 of the game is immediately available on Apple Arcade for iOS, but will need to wait until Spring 2020 for Part 2.
