Shantae: Risky’s Revenge Finally Out On October 4

After a number of console changes, the hair-whipping half-genie Shantae and lady pirate Risky Boots are finally back. Shantae: Risky’s Revenge is coming to DSiWare on October 4.

Developer WayForward originally planned to release Shantae: Risky’s Revenge in episodes. The final game, however, will be sold as a single DSiWare download for 1,200 DSiWare points ($12). That will make Shantae: Risky’s Revenge the most expensive single DSiWare download to date.

Creative director Matt Bozon says Shantae: Risky’s Revenge "pushes the action beyond what’s possible on the Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite."
