Namco Bandai is making a new Katamari Damacy game for PlayStation Vita. Since Sony’s next handheld has dual analog sticks it should control much better than the hand cramping Me and My Katamari for PSP.
So, what’s new for this Katamari game? Shape shifting katamaris. In Japan, the game is called Katamari Damacy no Vita, which (if you ignore the heart) could be read as Katamari Damacy Nobita where "nobita" means to stretch. And stretching your katamari in odd shapes that should make it more difficult to roll is what the next game in the Katamari series is all about. Players can use the rear touch pad to stretch and shrink their Katamari. Levels will be designed with narrow gaps to squeeze through.
While we don’t have a release date, Namco Bandai confirmed they will publish Katamari Damacy for PlayStation Vita in North America and Europe.
