Sierra Entertainment is releasing Arkadian Warriors this week, a random dungeon crawler with multiplayer features. Players can pick one of three generic classes: soldier, archer and sorceress, which also have the ability to transform into a phoenix, lion or dragon. Sure, Arkadian Warriors sounds like an advanced version of Gauntlet, but online co-op play possibly makes it worth 800 Microsoft Points ($10).
After appearing on the PSP and then the Playstation 3, Gripshift is getting ported to the Xbox 360. It’s unclear what has changed, but Gripshift on the Playstation 3 has 150 challenges compared to the 120 found in the Xbox Live Arcade release. Some of the challenges may have changed, but Gripshift keeps online play which is the real reason to own it anyways. The Xbox 360 version gives players 25 race tracks and 20 deathmatch arenas to test their skills. Like Arkadian Warriors, Gripshift rings in at 800 Microsoft Points ($10).
Out of the two games Arkadian Warriors caught my attention since I have a soft spot for online dungeon crawlers, but Gripshift might be worth a look if you haven’t played it before.
