Nintendo and Game Freak announced it is now possible to get a shiny Volcanion in Pokemon Home, but you do need to do a lot of catching in Pokemon Legends: Z-A to get it. It is part of a new distribution event tied to the Pokedex from the Switch and Switch 2 game. It becomes available as a Mystery Gift if you get every character in the title. This giveaway is available worldwide.
Here’s how it works. If you make deposits from Pokemon Legends: Z-A and finish the Hyperspace, Lumiose, and Mega Evolution Pokedex sections, then you can get the shiny Volcanion. This can only happen once. However, there’s no time limit on it, so you don’t need to worry about the offer expiring.
The official English announcement shared a screenshot of the shiny Volcanion and offered details about what to expect from it. The fire and water-type will arrive at level 50. Its Nature will be Modest. It doesn’t have any Ability listed and won’t be holding anything when it shows up. The four moves it knows are Flare Blitz, Heavy Slam, Hydro Pump, and Steam Eruption.
