Graze Counter encourages players to get very close to the bullets that would destroy them, charging a meter that will let them launch devastating blasts that reward their reckless behavior.

In the twenty-third century, a virtual network, EDEN, has brought about an age of peace. That ends when the network chooses to hold the human population hostage until a pilot can enter the network and defeat its forces. This is where the game’s two playable characters (and six more, each with a unique combat style, to unlock) will come into play.

Players are encouraged to come close to the dozens of bullets that will be on-screen at any given time. Narrow misses will charge the player’s Graze Counter meter, which will let them launch a shot-destroying counterattack once it’s full. This powerful strike will keep players safe for a time, and it also turns enemy shots into stars which can be used to charge the Break meter. Once that meter is full, players will do a great deal more damage until the meter drains, prompting players to take risks in order to unlock high-damage rewards.

Players will be able to choose from among the varied fighters and difficulty levels to customize their experience. They can also choose to play on a challenge mode that gives them difficult tasks beyond just blasting ships, and a time boss rush that will push players to play well in a hurry.

Graze Counter is available now on Steam.
