Should You Play The Sims 4 or InZOI Right Now?

With the release of Inzoi, we have a true competitor in the ring for that type of life simulator that The Sims series has pretty much monopolized for many years. Given the distinction of Inzoi, some fans of The Sims 4 may be wondering if it is worth playing over it. Here are my thoughts as someone who’s played both.

The Sims 4 vs. InZOI, Explained

Both of these games fall into what I would consider the life simulator department. They are a bit deeper and more specific than the usual sim games that could have involve working at a shop (TCG Card Shop Simulator) or doing a particular job (Powerwash Simulator). Instead, here, you create a character(s) to live out an entire life.

You choose who they marry, what job they do, and even how they die. Both of these titles are quite similar in this aspect. However, they differ in execution. The Sims 4 feels much more like you are a god controlling these Sims. On the other hand, Inzoi feels much more like you are playing that particular Zoi character, if you so desire.

Should You Play The Sims 4 or InZOI Right Now?

In the end, whether or not you should play The Sims 4 or Inzoi right now will come down to what you want out of the game. The Sims 4 is by far the most complete game out of the two since it has dozens of DLCs and countless mods for you to check out. That said, if you don’t mind the early access nature, I have had more fun with Inzoi in such a short time than I have ever had with EA’s series.

Being able to control my character directly feels great. I can walk around gorgeous cities, participate in the jobs I want, drive vehicles, and more. It is so much more immersive and enjoyable to play. In addition, it is also one of the best-looking games available right now. That said, Inzoi is incomplete and a bit rough around the edges at launch.

So, if you want a more complete experience right now, go for The Sims 4. But if you want more fun and immersion, Inzoi is the way to go. That said, while it is an even contest right now, I do fully expect Inzoi to overtake The Sims 4 by a long shot later down the line once it is more complete.
