Should you Roll on the FFVII Ever Crisis Holiday Aerith and Barret banner?

The answer is simple. No. Both Aerith and Barret’s Weapons serve a specific niche and are not worth rolling on in any capacity unless you really want AoE Ice Damage for whatever reason. Instead of spending currency on the banners you could make Blizzard or Blizzara Materia instead without using Blue or Red Gems.

Of course, you can roll on the banner if you like Aerith’s attire enough to do so. At most, it will take you around x12 rolls, and if you’re lucky, maybe 4-5 at minimum. However, unlike Garnet’s Attire, which was available through a limited FFIX crossover banner, the Fairy of Snowfall Attire only boosts her maximum HP and Ice Damage.

I would honestly skip this banner for that reason since it doesn’t serve a general purpose and doesn’t play into Aerith’s role in the game. That being a Healer. You can, of course, use her as an offensive mage, and that works pretty well. But since she’s arguably still the best Healer in the game and will likely remain as such, it’s best to keep Aerith doing what she does best.

That said, Barret’s Weapon is great if you’re missing out on a character that can buff a single unit. But since Red XIII’s Weapons primarily buff other characters, you don’t need Barret’s Weapon. Especially since most characters can buff themselves with supplemental skills from their own weapons.

Personally, I’ve never actually used these effects on other characters in combat since auto-farming relies on AoE attacks. And even in Co-Op Missions, players can easily blast through content. So again, you don’t really need this since it doesn’t pay off in the long run.

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is available on Android, iOS, and PC through Steam. The Aerith and Barret Holiday Banner will be available until December 25, 2023.
