Shu Yamino and Kagami Hayato Will Become TGS VR 2023 Ambassadors

CESA published details about the upcoming Tokyo Game Show VR 2023 event. Some of the announcement’s main highlights include the appointments of the Japanese Nijisanji Vtuber Kagami Hayato and Nijisanji EN’s Shu Yamino as new ambassadors for the latest TGS VR event. The VR venue will open at the same time as the main physical event on September 21, 2023. But while the original event closes on September 24, 2023, the VR version will remain until October 1, 2023.

TGS VR 2023 will appear with more gameplay elements than the 2022 edition. Visitors will be able to choose from 25 available avatars and collect stamps by completing quests in multiple zones. After gathering enough stamps, they will be able to visit hidden areas. The venue will also contain booths from Capcom, Koei Tecmo, Konami, Square Enix, Sega, Atlus, and Bandai Namco.

The Nijisanji Vtubers Kagami Hayato and Shu Yamino will newly accompany Omega Sisters as TGS VR 2023 ambassadors. The latter is a pair of Vtubers who have been regular ambassadors of the VR event since CESA established it in 2021.

A VR device will not be required to access TGS VR 2023, as visitors will also be able to view it with regular PC monitors and mobile devices. People without VR will be able to join with Intel UHD Graphics 620 as the PC’s GPU. However, if they want to use VR, the minimum requirement will be raised to Nvidia GeForce GTX1060.

Tokyo Game Show VR 2023 will be available on Windows PCs, mobile devices, and standalone Meta Quest 2 from September 21, 2023 to October 1, 2023.
