Figure and merchandise manufacturer Gecco announced a new 1/6 scale statue of James Sunderland, the main character of Silent Hill 2. The figure costs 42,000 JPY (roughly $316 USD), and it is expected to release between August and November 2023. A scale of 1/6 means that the new James figure is approximately 12 inches tall (or 31cm). In addition, it can hold some of the iconic weapons that he uses in Silent Hill 2, such as a wooden plank, a handgun, a steel pipe, a shotgun, and Pyramid Headās Great Knife. This is the second figure based on a character from the game created by Gecco, with the first one being the imposing and emblematic Pyramid Head.
Jamesā worn-out military jacket is reproduced faithfully, down to the patches and his breast pocket flashlight. The base of the figure also includes some used health items. Gecco also revealed Maria as the upcoming third figure in the series, which can be displayed alongside Jamesā figure to recreate their first meeting in Rosewater Park.
