Sam Barlow, writer of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, has released his first indie game: Her Story for PC and iOS. You can purchase it on Steam, the Humble Store, and on its website. The iOS version can be purchased on the App Store.
The game has you playing a detective searching the archives of a police database by typing in search terms to find documents and live-action footage. By these means, you piece together the story of a British woman who was interviewed seven times by police regarding her missing husband in 1994.
As you dictate what to search for, Her Story’s narrative is told in a non-linear fashion, relying on you to make connections while sat in front of a moth-balled computer watching VHS footage.
