SMT III Nocturne HD Remaster was released today in Japan, and with it came a special TV spot that is actually a remake of a commercial from the original version’s back in 2003. [Thanks, 4Gamer.]

The SMT III Nocturne HD Remaster commercial shows the protagonist, known as the Demi-fiend, falling in the middle of the city in slow-motion. Music video director Yuuki Saito is the director behind this commercial. He was also the commercial director for the original Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne ad in 2003. Furthermore, Chika Fujii, the narrator of the Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster commercial, was also the narrator in the original commercial.
Like the remaster itself, the commercial’s theme was “respect to the original” as a modernized version of the same ad.

Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster will release for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on October 29, 2020. The game will release worldwide in Spring 2021. In case you missed it, Atlus recently posted video streaming guidelines on streaming and sharing gameplay videos.
