Jack Frost is best known as a snow fairy and longtime mascot of Shin Megami Tensei V developer Atlus. Thanks to some new apparel items, though, he may become known as a warm place to put one’s feet. Atlus debuted a handful of new SMT V items based on Jack Frost, and one of them is a set of house slippers [Thanks, Famitsu].
The SMT V Jack Frost slippers are made of soft denim and cotton. They are set up such that wearing them places Jack’s unique facial expression on one’s feet. The slippers measure from 22 to 25 cm, which translates roughly into a US 5-9 shoe size. Each pair costs JPY 3,960 (about USD $35).
Two other bits of SMT V Jack Frost merchandise are on offer to people set for footwear. A plush Jack Frost wrist rest is available for JPY 2,970 (about USD $25). The plush also reflects the revised design for the character as seen in SMT V.
Atlus devotees seeking fashion outside the home can also try out a set of Jack Frost hair clips. Each set comes with a clip featuring Jack Frost and another featuring Black Frost. Black Frost is essentially a Jack Frost that remembered it’s a demon and leaned into the “evil” aspect of that way of life. First appearing in Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, Black Frost combines the icy powers of Jack Frost with a resistance to fire more typical of a Pyro Jack. Each set of the Jack Frost and Black Frost hair clips costs JPY 1,100 (about USD $10).
The new SMT V Jack Frost merchandise is sold via the Animo online store in Japan. Shin Megami Tensei V is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch.
