Level-5 is bringing back Snack World once again, as the former 3DS and Switch game is getting a Switch 2, PS5, and PC remake called Snack World Reloaded. It is specifically based on the updated version of the Japan-exclusive Trejarers, which we saw worldwide as The Dungeon Crawl – Gold. It is in development with no release window yet.

As this is one of the Level-5 cross-media projects, the story involves both a personal avatar and the main character from the anime and manga. Our character teams up with a young man named Chup and essentially runs errands for the Kingdom of Tutti-Frutti’s king and his daughter Princess Melonia. It’s an action-RPG. The new, updated version will add an additional mode in which Chup is the hero and our avatar, rather than just an ally.

Here’s the first teaser trailer. It highlighted the updated graphics. However, that didn’t really bring up the new gameplay changes and controls. All of the footage is established as being “in development,” so what we’re seeing below could look different in the final versions.

Snack World Reloaded is in development for the Switch 2, PS5, and PC, the original game is on the 3DS in Japan, and the first updated version is on the Switch worldwide.
