Pre-orders for the home arcade cabinet are now available at Amazon Japan. However, the initial pre-order stock was quickly sold out in just a couple of hours after the first opening on December 1, 2020. Only the arcade unit will be sold without the optional 32 inch-tall MVS style base.

The MVSX home arcade unit will stand at around 25 x 19 x 15 inches tall with a 17-inch monitor and a couple of arcade joysticks and buttons to support two players. The universal build supports nine languages: Japanese, Korean, Chinese, English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian.

50 classic SNK games are available pre-installed in the unit. The list includes ten consecutive The King of Fighters titles, from 94 to 2003, five mainline Samurai Shodown titles and Samurai Shodown V Special, and five numbered Metal Slug titles, including Metal Slug X.

The SNK NeoGeo MVSX Home Arcade launched first in the West in November 2020. It is currently available for purchase in the continental United States, Australia, and select European countries.
