Insert Credit discovered Cave has a skeleton official site up for Deathsmiles with semi-looking official box art. When Deathsmiles comes out spring 2009 it will be a retail game self published by Cave. The posted box art has the “Only on Xbox 360” stamp which makes it seem like a PlayStation 3 or even more optimal a PSN port isn’t in the pipeline. Disappointing, but Microsoft just officially announced an Xbox 360 price cut in Japan and North America. The hard drive-less Xbox 360 Arcade package is only 19,800 yen ($183) in Japan making it cheaper than the Wii and a few bucks cheaper than the $199 price point in North America. The influx of other shmups like Raiden IV and Otomedius G makes importing a Japanese/Asian region coded Xbox 360 very tempting.
