December 10, 2019 is going to be a big day for Shovel Knight fans. Yacht Club Games said two long-awaited games, a physical copy of the Treasure Trove, and more amiibo will all be making their debut on that day. The only downside is, PlayStation 4 owners will have to wait for their physical copies of Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove until early 2020.
The big news is the new games. The stand-alone expansion Shovel Knight: King of Cards and Shovel Knight: Showdown local multiplayer game will both appear on all applicable platforms on December 10, 2019. Unfortunately, Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita owners will not be receiving their own Shovel Knight: Showdown versions. Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove Nintendo Switch and Xbox One physical copies will arrive with every extra on the same day for $39.99, with manufacturing issues holding the PlayStation 4 version back.
As for the new amiibo, a single one and three-pack will be available. The standard Shovel Knight one is getting a gold variant that will cost $15.99. The $34.99 three-pack will give people King Knight, Plague Knight, and Specter Knight amiibo.
Shovel Knight: King of Cards will come to the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, PC, and Amazon Fire TV on December 10, 2019. Shovel Knight: Showdown will come to the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Amazon Fire TV on the same day.
