Like most role playing games, Sol Trigger has special attacks and one of them involves firing a neon colored flamethrower. You can supercharge the move by holding down the R button to infuse the skill with more Sol energy or press L to do a weaker attack that costs less.

Take Lightning Blade as an example. Infusing extra Sol greatly increases damage and the growth rate of the attack. Overload special attacks with a burst of Sol and they’ll change like how Sophie finishes with an explosive flame burst.

Sol Trigger comes out for PSP on October 4.
