Along with the big reveal of Atlus' Persona 4, Weekly Famitsu also happened to mention some new information regarding Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One for the Nintendo DS. As originally revealed a while back, Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One will be developed by tri-Ace themselves, easing any worries anyone may have had about another developer that wasn't tri-Ace (like TOSE…) handling the game.
While the information in this week's Famitsu reveals nothing about the game's place in the Valkyrie Profile timeline, it does shed some light on the game itself. According to Weekly Famitsu (scans are viewable below via Akayuki), Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One is 50% complete and will sport an isometric look. That was kind of a given considering the image shown in the previous Jump scan that unveiled the game. What's interesting to note is that Weekly Famitsu does acknowledge this DS entry as being an Action RPG. Whether that means the game will retain the same combat formula found in the original Valkyrie Profile or a replica of the combat formula in Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria is unknown, but at least some of you can worry less about the game treading into RTS territory a la Revenant Wings.
If it's 50% complete, that means a release can't be too far off right? The game's tagline is "Destiny by sinner sought; Tragedy by power brought". Talk about cryptic!
