An update on the Sonic at the Olympic Games: Tokyo mobile game has arrived. After being announced back in September 2019, it finally has a May 7, 2020 release date. This means it will launch ahead of the actual 2020 Summer Olympics, which will be held July 24-August 9, 2020.
The Sonic at the Olympic Games: Tokyo won’t be as elaborate as Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, in terms of retro events and general events. 100m, 400m hurdles, archery, badminton, BMX, diving – 3m springboard, fencing, hammer throw, javelin throw, karate, long jump, sport climbing, shooting – trap, table tennis, and trampoline will all be there. There will also be claw game, egg pawn rush, number lock, quiz challenge, souvenir search, and Tokyo Skytree jump minigames.
A Sonic at the Olympic Games: Tokyo preregistration campaign has begun. If people opt in at the official website, then everyone can get closer together to earn different sorts of rewards.
Here is the full list of things people might earn:
- 100,000: Sonic Racing’s “Ocean View” song will be available.
- 300,000: Training Points will be given for people to use on events and skills.
