Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom Now Out On iOS, Includes Apple Watch Pedometer

SEGA has released its endless runner sequel Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom for iOS. You can download it for free on the App Store. It’ll also be coming to Android on October 15th.

The major differences between this sequel and the first game include vertical gameplay sections, more tracks and events, and team formations. The latter means you’ll have to form a team of three runners, each with different abilities in order to switch to the one that can sprint, climb, or fly whenever the track demands it.

Oh, and let’s not forget the newly introduced Sonic Boom dress sense. Sonic now has a scarf, Tails has goggles, and Knuckles is a triangle. Newcomer Sticks the Badger has also been added to the roster.

This iOS version of Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom also doubles up as a companion app for Apple Watch. It turns into a Sonic-themed pedometer on the smartwatch that lets you unlock in-game rewards for being active.
