Nintendo will only offer one Virtual Console game this week and it’s Sonic the Hedgehog 2, 8-bit Sonic the Hedgehog 2 built for the Master System. Since the superior Genesis version came out over a year ago you might be wondering why you should give Sonic the Hedgehog 2 a second look. Morbid curiosity, maybe? At least you won’t paying 500 Wii Points ($5) Sonic 2 again. The Master System release is mostly a different Sonic the Hedgehog 2 with its hang gliding stage Sega proudly put on the cover.
WiiWare gets two unknown games too. Bruiser and Scratch, a grid based puzzle game made by ex-Naughty Dog staff, and Hockey Allstar Shootout, which is simply motion controlled hockey.
