While many were expecting an upgraded version or even a sequel to Freedom Wars from the “Sinners Festival” that took place earlier today, Sony’s big reveal ended up being something far less grand.

According to a report by Hachima, the announcement that was made at this weekend’s Freedom Wars event at 6:00 pm was actually to announce the winners of the prize lottery for those that attended the event.

While a lot of fans from Japan also expected to hear about a new game, Dengeki reports that the Freedom Wars developers did share that they’re currently preparing a new project that involves the  “Propaganda Idols”. Producer Junichi Yoshizawa  didn’t reveal much about the new project, but did mention the keyword of “5” for it, which has something to do with five new tracks, and hinted as the possibility of new Idols.

For those of you who’ve played Freedom Wars, but have yet to actually see the Propaganda Girls, they were actually created as part of the advertisement for the game, and they’re not actually in the game… except for the voice actors who voiced other characters.

Perhaps this new project of Yoshizawa’s will put them in the game as part of a new event, or even as new characters you can party with or use as your Accessory.
