The anime has only begun in Japan and Soul Eater already has two games in development. Square Enix is developing Soul Eater: Monotone Princess for the Wii and Namco Bandai is working on Soul Eater: Medusa no Inbou (Soul Eater: Medusa’s Conspiracy) for the Nintendo DS. Both games are 3D action games, but Namco Bandai’s title looks more hack ‘n slash than Square Enix’s game. The only concrete information about Soul Eater: Medusa no Ibou is players draw a path for Maka Albarn’s weapon with the stylus.
The concept sounds mildly novel, but that preliminary judgment is based solely on a set of screenshots. Soul Eater: Medusa no Inbou doesn’t come out until this fall in Japan. No North American release dates have been announced since the anime hasn’t even been licensed yet. It probably will be licensed though!
