South Park dominates the Xbox 360 Video Marketplace

Caleb Weinstein, senior vice president of strategy and business development from Comedy Central said, “Xbox 360 has become one of Comedy Central’s leading digital distribution platforms. In nearly two months, Xbox has become our second highest performing digital distributor. Comedy Central is thrilled to continue this partnership and is working to bring more and more content to Video Marketplace in the coming year.” They have a reason to be happy too, check out the top ten downloads for TV eight out of the ten are South Park episodes. Number one isn’t much of a surprise either, “Make Love, Not Warcraft” has been on the top of the top downloads chart for a while now. It’s tempting to correlate that Xbox 360 owners like South Park, which could be the case. Or maybe the Xbox 360 actually provides a service, a way to legally download episodes of South Park’s excellent season before TV box sets are released. At the price of only $2 per episode it’s hard to resist if you like a show, any show.
