Special Site for Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.4 Opens

Square Enix is preparing for the launch of patch 6.4: The Dark Throne for Final Fantasy XIV with a special site. It builds on the one already established for the other 6.0 through 6.3 updates. At the moment, there isn’t too much there yet. However, there is a list of things people can expect when the update arrives at the end of May 2023.

Here’s the full list of things that will be in the 6.4 Final Fantasy XIV patch, as listed on Square Enix’s site.

  • Main Scenario Quests – The Dark Throne

  • New Raid Dungeon – Pandæmonium: Anabaseios

  • New Instanced Dungeon – The Aetherfont

  • New Trial – The Voidcast Dais

  • New Variant Dungeon – Mount Rokkon (Patch 6.45)

  • New Criterion Dungeon – Another Mount Rokkon (Patch 6.45)

  • Blue Mage Update (Patch 6.45)

  • New Unreal Trial – Containment Bay Z1T9 (Unreal)

  • Additional Duty Support

  • Tataru’s Grand Endeavor

  • Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures (Patch 6.45)

  • Weapon Enhancement Quests – Manderville Weapons (Patch 6.45)

  • Tool Enhancement Quests – Splendorous Tools (Patch 6.45)

  • Island Sanctuary Updates

  • Ocean Fishing Update

  • Allagan Tomestones of Comedy

  • New Crafting Recipes

  • New Mounts, Minions, and Emotes

Square Enix already went over some of the Allagan tomestones changes people will see once the patch arrives.

While not live yet, these Final Fantasy XIV special sites tend to offer a number of additional details once the main patch and its follow-ups appear. For example, the 6.3 area features sections going over its Story, Challenges, Systems, and Items. There is also a Media section for each patch that focuses on the official screenshots and trailers for things you’ll see in it.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC, and patch 6.4: The Dark Throne will appear in “late” May 2023.
