Konami, preying on lonely feelings sparked by Valentine’s Day, made a new Love Plus bundle. For a limited time you can get a special Love Plus package containing the game, pocky, and an augmented reality card with a Valentine’s Day greeting.
This past holiday season, Konami sold augmented reality cards (you know the nifty technology that makes things appear when you show them to a webcam; think Eye of Judgment) with Christmas treats in Japan. Those sold like hot cakes.
These will probably rake in more money than the localized version of Tomena Sanner which just came out on WiiWare yesterday. Especially, because there are three greetings, one from each girl. Each bundle costs 5,220 yen ($58) and you just know someone out there is going to buy all of them to collect the AR cards. When the game originally launched one Love Plus fan bought eleven copies to round up all of the pre-order bonuses.
