The next Splatoon 2 update is upon us. At 5pm PT/7pm CT/8pm ET on July 31, 2018, the next update will arrive. The official Tumblr has provided information on the new map, which is the Ancho V Games office space, and the four new weapons.

In the Splatoon 2 hub, Inkopolis Square, there is an arcade machine outside The Shoal where people can play a rhythm game called Squid Beatz 2. The in-game “developer” of this title is Ancho V Games. Their office is the new map. The space is currently under construction, which should offer an opportunity to reach new areas when splatting folks. Keep an eye out for references to the minigame!

The four new weapons consist of a pair of Dualies, one Slosher, and two Splatlings. The Light Tetra Dualies have the Sprinkler Sub Weapon and Autobomb Launcher Special. The Bloblobber Slosher has the Splash Wall Sub Weapon and Ink Storm Special. The Custom Hydra Splatling has Ink Mine as a Sub Weapon and Ink Armor as a Special. Finally, there is the Nautilus 47 Splatling, with its Point Sensor Sub Weapon and Baller Special. The Nautilus 47 is also unique, as it is currently the only Splatling where someone can charge up, swim through ink, then reappear somewhere else while still holding that charge.
