Nintendo revealed more details about the new and returning Splatoon 3 Inkopolis DLC characters. These include Jelonzo, who returns from the first game, and new character Fred Crumbs. Both run shops in the returning Inkopolis map.
Jelonzo returns from the first Splatoon on the Wii U, resuming his role as the merchant for shirts and similar upper body clothing. According to Nintendo, he has brushed up on his language skills, as now he can speak Octoling as well as Inkling, a reference to how Octolings are now playable characters who can interact with him.
SRL HR dept. again with more org chart reveals! Meet Jelonzo, the stylish proprietor of Jelly Fresh, an Inkopolis clothing shop. His hobbies include fashion, fixing up his single-family home, and studying language arts—he's one of a few jellyfish who speaks Inkling and Octoling! pic.twitter.com/do6vYasab3

Meanwhile, Fred Crumbs is a new addition manning the shoe store. He replaces the original shoe store owner Crusty Sean, who has been busy traveling the world in the official Nintendo mobile app. As spotted by fans, Fred Crumbs takes on the appearance of a deep fried mackerel dish, something Nintendo have said he did to himself while taking a job posting literally.
And here we have Fred Crumbs. He's newly filleted and deep-fried, as the job posting at Shrimp Kicks called for someone with "extra-crispy" fashion sense. Despite this misunderstanding, Fred knows his shoes, and is reportedly pleased that he can now wear both a left and a right. pic.twitter.com/YiEBnOcDPn

These two will be joining the previously revealed Splatoon 3 DLC characters, Annie, Moe, Shelly and Donny, rounding out the four main shops for new clothing items.
Splatoon 3 is now available on Nintendo Switch, and the DLC will be launching sometime in spring 2023.
