It’s the season for flowers and festivities in Monster Hunter: World’s Astera, and the Spring Blossom Festival will be held from April 6, 2018 to April 20, 2018. [Thanks, PlayStation Blog!]
Event Quests & Daily Login tickets
During the above period, most Event Quests will be available to choose, including returning Horizon Zero Dawn Event Quests. The Street Fighter V collaboration quest will also be available to hunters even if they don’t have Street Fighter V save data.
Furthermore, Daily Login tickets will be increased to two per day during the festival period. Sales will occur at every facility in Astera.
Gathering Hall
Apart from the decorated Gathering Hall, the NPCs found there will also be dressed in Spring-themed outfits.
New Armor
By collecting Blossom vouchers, new sets of armor can be made for both hunters and cats alike.
Fireworks
By doing special Bounties or spending Blossom vouchers, players can receive special Fireworks items that can be used on the field for a dazzling effect.
New paid Gesture
A new paid DLC dancing gesture will be available starting during the festival period.
Special Food Course
A specially themed Food Course that uses completely Fresh ingredients will be available during the festivities.
New Outfit for the Handler
During the Festival period, the Handler will be wearing a bee-themed Spring Blossom Festival outfit.
New Quests:
9* Quest – Relish the Moment
- Locale: Ancient Forest
- Requirements: HR 50 or above
- Objective: Slay 1 Deviljho
- Availability: April 6, 2018 at 00:00 UTC to April 19, 2018 at 23:59 UTC
7* Quest – A Rush of Blood
- Locale: Arena
- Requirements: HR 13 or above
- Objective: Hunt 2 Odogaron
- Availability: April 13, 2018 from 00:00 UTC to April 19, 2018 at 23:59 UTC
Finally, as a reminder, the Wyvern Ignition Greatsword can be made by collecting materials from beating the 5* Event Quest ‘Every Hunter’s Dream’, which is available from April 6, 2018 to April 19, 2018. We detailed the quest here.
