Forest Chocobos show their strength by jumping on large mushrooms and sliding down the branches of large trees in the forest. Thanks to these Chocobo Cloud and company can enjoy exploring dense forests, where it would be easy to get lost otherwise.

Meanwhile, Sea Chocobos can move freely above the surface of the sea and rivers by spraying powerful water jets from their talons. Sea Chocobos can take players to secret areas that are unavailable by foot

In addition, Square Enix shared a new short video featuring the different movement options that special Chocobo will allow players to perform. The new FFVII Rebirth video shows the aforementioned Forest and Sea Chocobo, as well as regular Chocobos. Two more unnamed Chocobo appear, a black Chocobo that seems to be able to climb up vertical terrain, and a light blue Chocobo that can glide through the air.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come to the PS5 on February 29, 2024. A demo is now available, and a Junon segment will be added with an update on February 21, 2024. FFVII Remake is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC.
