Square Enix Enters The Pachislot Business With Star Ocean 4 And Lord of Vermilion

There’s been rumors in the past about Square Enix entering the pachislot business, but it’s been revealed that the company will make its first step starting with Star Ocean 4 and Lord of Vermilion. [Thanks, Hachima.]

According to the report, a FAX has been going out showing that Square Enix, the company known for bringing us Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy, is entering the PS (pachislot) business.

While not much else is known about the company’s new venture, a new trademark by Square Enix has already been filed for “The Last Hope,” and its registration shows slot machines, slot machine housing, pachinko appliances and more. So basically, all that’s missing is an official announcement and reveal.
