Square Enix Revises Usage License for Certain Final Fantasy XIV Songs

Final Fantasy XIV Songs

Square Enix has changed its material usage license concerning several songs from Final Fantasy XIV. Arranged versions of “Answers,” “Dragonsong,” and “Revolution” may now be utilized by players and consumers. The changes made regarding the use of arranged versions of “Answers,” “Dragonsong,” and “Revolution” apply to international users and are not limited to a single region. However, Square Enix asks users to review the full material usage license for Final Fantasy XIV before using any sort of licensed materials. This includes songs from Final Fantasy XIV and video content from the game under certain stipulations.

Square Enix has also provided Final Fantasy XIV fan kits. These include wallpapers, icons, and borders. The Final Fantasy XIV fan kits usually include key artwork from various expansions, along with materials users can use on social media profiles and platforms. In September 2021, Square Enix updated the Final Fantasy XIV fan kit to include promotional artwork leading up to the Endwalker expansion.

However, the fan kit has since been updated again, and now includes the countdown artwork and promotional artwork for Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.1. A total of 19 pieces of artwork from the countdown are available to download through the fan kit website.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
