The official FFVII Remake Twitter account shared more details about Yuffie’s redesign from Episode Intermission. Square Enix updated Yuffie’s original design to incorporate some more realistic details, while maintaining her design as a modern ninja and the Japanese style of her original design. The company shared that, while the rest of the cloth physics in her model run in real-time, Yuffie’s leg warmers are individually adjusted so they don’t fall off.
基本的に衣服はクロスシミュレーションで動かしているのですが、ルーズソックスだけはズリ落ちないよう個別に調整しているんですよ！🧦#FF7R #FF7R_inter pic.twitter.com/goOPTzGncC

While her redesign was kept very close to the original, some details changed or were adjusted to bring her to life in a more modern setting. Particularly, her right arm sports a glove that closely resembles a piece of Japanese armor, compared to her original design which involved wearing a glove with metallic protectors.

Square Enix recently shared more details about Yuffie’s moogle cape, which the developers recreated in real-life and later scanned to model and add into the game.
