At the May 2023 PlayStation Showcase, Square Enix revealed a Splatoon-like shooter. In Foamstars, players fire off guns with colored bubbles to coat the field. It will come to the PS4 and PS5. There’s no release date for it yet, though. However, an initial trailer with gameplay footage appeared.
The trailer began by showing different characters heading to the map, showing off their designs. After that, it shifts to what looks like in-progress gameplay footage. Characters’ guns shoot off different colored foam, which coats the field. It looks to be a team shooter, with characters appearing on different sides to work toward a win.
Foamstars is in development for the PS4 and PS5.
