Square Enix Wants Questions for Final Fantasy VII Writer Interview

Square Enix is calling for fans to submit their questions for an upcoming video program titled “Square Enix’s Way of Creation.” During this program, an interview will be held between Final Fantasy VII Scenario Writer Kazushige Nojima and Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis Producer Shoichi Ichikawa to discuss the world-building of FFVII. People can submit their questions at the official site before the deadline on August 21, 2023 at 11:59pm JST.

Nojima, who was the writer for the scenarios for both the original Final Fantasy VII and its remake, plans to dive deep into the history of “Shinra Electric Power Company,” a corporation that serves as an antagonistic force for the heroes of the game. Ichikawa will provide insight on the story of Sephiroth and his significance to the overarching narrative.

Curious fans must submit their questions through the Square Enix members platform. So, you will need to log in with your Square Enix ID linked to the app in order to participate. Not all questions will be addressed, and some may be edited for brevity.

The original fantasy JRPG Final Fantasy VII released in 1997 on the PlayStation. It ended up ported to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Portable, Xbox One, iOS, Android, and Windows. Final Fantasy VII Remake released in 2020 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is a free-to-play game releasing on September 7, 2023 for iOS and Android.
