Have you ever dreamt about a Final Fantasy meets Hakuoki mashup? Square Enix spent part of their Future of Final Fantasy presentation showcasing a fake video game. Tokimeki Final Fantasy: Suzaku Magic Institution Peristylium ~ Oh no! I’m in Love With the Crystal’s Divine Guardian ~ isn’t real, but Final Fantasy Type-0 director Hajime Tabata spent quite a bit of time imagining it.

The story centers on Khalia Chival XVI who just joined the magic academy. "Players" will have school schedules to follow and you can learn new abilities using the faux Active Lesson System. The goal of the game is to fall in love with various male characters from Final Fantasy Type-0.

Tabata further teased fans saying this is a smartphone game developed with the new Luminous Engine. Even though Square Enix is starting to develop otome games Tokimeki Final Fantasy isn’t going to come out – it’s just a joke.
