The cursed 8-bit platformer and cursed RPG are a key part of the DS game, but you don’t need to survive Nanashi no Game: Me to experience the retro games, if you own a Nintendo DSi.

Square Enix is releasing two cursed game packs as DSiWare downloads in Japan. Extreme Misfortunate Side Scrolling Action Vol 1. Cursed Game: Blood and Vol 2. Cursed Game: Prison will be available on September 9. Each volume costs 500 DSiWare points or $5.

I haven’t played enough of Nanashi no Game: Me yet to determine if these are new level packs or rehashes, but the character sprite is different from the one in the DS game. Look for more coverage of Nanashi no Game: Me (The Game Without a Name: The Eye) next week.
