Square Enix announced that its treasure hunting smartphone RPG Last Idea will end service on May 29, 2020.
In the notice from Square Enix, it states that Last Idea will end service on May 29, 2020 at 3:00pm JST. The developer apologized for the sudden notice and thanked fans for supporting the game since its launch on April 18, 2019. The company concluded that it would be too difficult to continue providing satisfactory service for the players
While Last Idea is scheduled to end service in a couple more months, players can look forward to some final content. Square Enix promised that it will deliver the main quest’s chapter 9 as well as the final chapter in an update. More details will be announced on a later date. Micro-transaction Gem sales, subscriptions, and other paid services are no longer available in the game as of 3:00pm JST on March 31, 2020.
The game features hack ‘n’ slash action with simple controls for smartphones. The story is about a treasure hunter protagonist who meets a “mysterious girl with amnesia” in a castle after being told by a fortuneteller about hidden treasure. You can read more about the game in our earlier report.
